Intertextuality

Intertextuality is the shaping of texts' meanings by other texts. It can include an author’s borrowing and transformation of a prior text or to a reader’s referencing of one text in reading another. For example in Dan Black’s music video ‘symphonies’ he uses a lot of different films and games to go with his song. Madonna and Robbie Williams also do this.
Robbie Williams - let me entertain you
Dan Black - Symphonies

Maddona - material girl
